The Breton Flymill E1 in MT (Mill Turn) version can also operate as a vertical turning centre. This is made possible by an integrated quick head coupling/release system (up to 600 Nm on 3 axes), which allows the A-axis milling head to be swapped quickly and automatically for a vertical turning head. Combined with our own in-house high-performance turning tables (torque or hydrostatic type), this solution delivers high milling and turning capacity in one versatile package.

An advanced lubrication system eliminates dirt, stains on workpieces and hazardous fumes, and reduces maintenance and operating costs.

In addition, the Rexroth CytroPac hydraulic power unit cuts energy consumption through variable pressure management.

The Thermal Shield system, applied to the Flymill's thermo-symmetrical structure, provides optimum control of thermal expansion without the need for costly cooling systems.

An efficient chip evacuation system and stainless steel cladding keep the machining area clean at all times and reduce operator intervention.

The Breton Flymill was created by harnessing the potential of the digital twin which, through simulations in a virtual environment, enables targeted design optimisation and a significant increase in performance.

The Flymill is available with the most advanced Heidenhain and Siemens controls. It is fully fitted with plug-in connectors to speed up programming and maintenance. This solution allows integration with Industry 4.0 software to analyse operating statistics, optimise operations and carry out predictive maintenance.
