Why choose it?

Matrix E1 achieves an exceptionally efficient ratio of machine dimensions to axis travel. As a result, it can machine larger workpieces within the same footprint than other solutions on the market.

The 2,500 mm cross travel and 2,000 mm longitudinal travel keep the depth of the machine to a minimum, giving the operator the best possible view when carrying out inspection work.

A fully thermo-symmetrical structure, fitted with the Thermal Shield system, reduces structural distortion without the need for costly cooling systems.

Direct-drive motors on the axes reduce backlash and eliminate the vibration caused by belts.

The large bearings in the Matrix E1 heads provide the rigidity needed for the heaviest operations.

High-resolution encoders and liquid-cooled axes ensure high accuracy.

Breton Matrix E1 handles high-speed roughing and delivers outstanding performance in semi-finishing and finishing too. A wide range of electrospindles, which can be fitted to different heads, allows Matrix E1 to work efficiently on materials as varied as hardened steel, aluminium and composites.

The wide range of accessories allows the machine to be configured flexibly to suit the needs of different industries, such as aerospace and mould and die.

An optimised monobloc structure, compact and light, simplifies shipping. Matrix E1 is delivered fully assembled, which considerably reduces installation time and cost.

The monobloc structure of Matrix E1 needs only a simple flat foundation.

Carefully engineered anchor points keep the amount of concrete and chemical anchors needed to secure Matrix E1 to a minimum.

An advanced lubrication system eliminates dirt, stains on workpieces and hazardous fumes, and reduces maintenance and operating costs.

In addition, the Rexroth CytroPac hydraulic power unit cuts energy consumption through variable pressure management.

The Thermal Shield system, applied to the thermo-symmetrical structure of Matrix E1, provides optimum control of thermal expansion without the need for costly cooling systems.

An efficient chip evacuation system and stainless steel guarding keep the machining area clean at all times and reduce the need for operator intervention.
