Let's talk about your project!
5-axis vertical machining centre with a monobloc tilting rotary table for milling and turning.
A robust, stable Metalquartz base and a dedicated turning bar allow a full range of operations to be carried out on a single machining centre. Ideal for roughing, semi-finishing and finishing of parts in superalloy, steel, light alloy or composite materials.
Spindles compatible with Ultrix:
Tilting rotary tables with torque motors
The machine is available with a range of high-performance tilting rotary tables featuring direct-drive technology.
Dedicated turning bar
The Ultrix has a vertical turning bar rigidly fixed to the vertical structure of the vertical ram. Its position is controlled and, thanks to powerful hydraulic brakes, it can be locked at any point along its vertical travel.
Metalquartz base
The base is made of Metalquartz for maximum rigidity and stability, while giving the operator the best possible ergonomics and ease of use, with easy, safe access to the machine.
Optimised maintenance
The entire electrical cabinet and maintenance area has been optimised. The hydraulic and pneumatic units are grouped together in a tidy, compact layout, with every module needed for diagnostics and maintenance kept in plain view. Designed to be modular and scalable, it leaves room to expand the machine later with new accessories and/or automation.
Tool changer built into the column, or rotary tool magazine
Ultras can be fitted with various types of tool magazine, all fully compatible with the new fast, compact tool changer. This solution, which needs only a small opening in the machine column, preserves maximum structural rigidity while offering a wide choice of tool magazine positions.
Digital Twin
Breton Ultrix was designed by harnessing the potential of the digital twin. Every characteristic of the machine was modelled in a virtual environment to produce a realistic simulation and verify its behaviour in different operating scenarios. The result is a structure built on the basis of those simulations, allowing targeted optimisation and higher performance.
Fully enclosed working area lined with stainless steel
A clean machine lasts much longer. That is why the machining area is lined with modular stainless steel panels that are not only easy to clean but also remain virtually unchanged over time, even under constant exposure to dust and chips.
